Project Manager

We are seeking a passionate, professional, and experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team on a 12-month fixed term basis to contribute to the success of our organisation's IT Strategy and goals.
In this fixed-term role reporting directly to the General Manager IT, you will be responsible for ensuring the Christchurch Casino’s Digital Transformation Strategy outcomes are achieved by supporting and enabling the transformation and replacement of the Christchurch Casinos CMS System and supporting business platforms.
In this role, you will be leading a high performing multi-disciplinary team, enabling human-centred design whilst working collaboratively and influentially with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve the completion of projects on time, on budget and within scope. The position contributes to building project management maturity and capability and work in a way that meets the Christchurch Casinos values and principles. You will need to be up to date with industry best practice including toolsets and techniques used to enable successful delivery.
To be successful in this role, you will develop an understanding of the current environment, strategic priorities, the contribution the project(s) has on the desired future state, the relative priority of the project(s) within the portfolio, critical deadlines, and business requirements. Your priority will be to actively manage interdependencies between projects within the Digital Transformation workstream whilst considering impacts and risks when designing the approach to implementation. Your ability to effectively and efficiently communicate your approach behind Digital Transformation and be a key endorser of the program of work throughout the Casino will be critical for success.
In addition to your technical expertise, you should be a proactive and detail-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to manage workflow, and work independently, and within a team environment.
Experience/ Qualifications:
· A relevant tertiary qualification (Project Management, Prince2, PMBOK or Agile)
· 5+ years of project management experience, working with business stakeholders within a complex environment.
· A demonstrated understanding of how to lead a high performing team, leading them towards the achievement of project outcomes.
· Excellent understanding of risk management and assurance controls
· Proven experience in leading, influencing and building credibility across a range of stakeholders, and developing effective project management communication.
· Experience of the software development lifecycle and Agile and Waterfall approaches to projects (desirable).
This is a licensed position within the Christchurch Casino and requires a Certificate of Approval (COA) issued by the Department of Internal Affairs. To meet the criteria, you will need to be at least 20 years of age, have a clean police record, and be a NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident.
