Canterbury’s own Rams are the pillars of Basketball within the region and have contributed significantly to the growth of the sport with their well-run elite team. Among advancing the sport within the region, the Canterbury Rams also display a focus on philanthropy with supporting partnerships rooted in community development.
TACTIX
Formally known as the Flames, Canterbury’s premier netball team is one of the most popular local sports franchises. Known as a breeding-ground for some of the world’s best talent, providing a number of Silver Fern representatives throughout the years including Jane Watson who was an integral part of 2019’s World Cup-winning squad.

The Christchurch City Mission is a pillar within the community. Their support, care and advocacy for those who are marginalized is paramount and deep felt within the city. AIR RESCUE TRUST
Air Rescue Services Ltd was incorporated in February 2002 for the purpose of operating gaming machines to raise funds for distribution to charitable and community organisations throughout the Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, Marlborough, Wellington, Manawatu-Wanganui, Hawkes Bay and Auckland regions of New Zealand.

The New Brighton Surf Lifesaving Club is the oldest surf lifesaving club in New Zealand having been formed in July 1910. New Brighton SLSC has had a distinguished history as both a lifesaving and a sporting organisation.

CHRISTCHURCH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
The Christchurch Symphony Orchestra (CSO) has provided the city with some of the best musical performances for over 60 years. The CSO contributes to the cultural diversity of the city through their Community Engagement programme and through incorporating styles of music from different parts of the world.
THE COURT THEATRE
The Court Theatre is New Zealand’s largest theatre company and employs 60 permanent staff and hundreds of artists who produce 19 productions each year. The court theatre actively supports up and coming acts and artists through drama and improve classes, workshops and theatre incentives.

WOOLSTON BRASS
Running for over 120 years, the Woolston Brass band is acclaimed in its own right, holding the NZBBA Marching Championship and CPBBA Championship. Besides its contesting prowess, the band has a strong sense of community philanthropy, providing a learning facility for developing players, and an artistic outlet for those with more experience.
