System Administrator – Christchurch Casino

Christchurch Casino is very much part of the community – it is a key player in providing premium entertainment, gaming, restaurant, and beverage choices within the Christchurch CBD. 

We are currently seeking a System Administrator to join our small yet talented Information Technology Department, who will report directly to the Christchurch Casinos Information Technology Manager. 

Our IT Department supports all the devices and users within the Casino environment; we are looking for someone with at least 5 years IT experience.  Our ideal candidate will have significant experience working in a Windows Active Directory environment. Experience with Microsoft 365 technologies including Hybrid Exchange and Sharepoint, database administration and virtualisation technologies (VMware and Citrix Vitual Apps and Desktop) would be beneficial. A desire to learn and upskill is essential where the candidate does not have this experience. 

You will be working with our current IT team as well as supporting end users and the management team, therefore the ability to work well with people and under pressure will be essential. You will also need to be flexible and keen to learn new technologies.

The Casino environment is highly regulated, and we require someone with a responsible attitude who can self-manage and has a high level of integrity with a willingness to go the extra mile. This is a full-time role, typically working Monday to Friday; however, there will be a requirement to be periodically on call and provide after-hours support on a rotating cycle.
