Christchurch Casino is very much part of the community – a key player in providing premier Gaming entertainment, event and restaurant choices within the Christchurch CBD.
The Christchurch Casino’s AML and Compliance Manager provides a vital role within the organisation and is responsible for managing the AML/CFT/Compliance/Privacy initiatives and activities within the Casino. The ideal candidate will be capable of working proactively and independently at both operational and strategic levels while being able to demonstrate a proven ability to be future focused, analytical, collaborative and have a measured pleasant approach when dealing with people. This is a diverse role that will utilise your strong interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution and leadership skills.
You will also be responsible for providing AML/CFT risk management advice to the Chief Executive and Executive Team. With a key focus on mitigating AML/CFT and Compliance risk, ensuring and improving compliance with legislation, investigating and implementing technology solutions, and building and maintaining strong relationships with all relevant stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
Key activities will include but not be limited to;
Reporting to the General Manager Security and Compliance this role is part of a broader team and as such enjoys a supportive team environment.
Previous background or experience in a relevant AML/CFT, legal or finance environment would be an advantage, as would a thorough knowledge of Gambling (Harm Prevention and Minimisation) Regulations 2004, Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009 and the Privacy Act 2020. Having a CAMS - Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist Certification would also be an advantage.
